JIMMY B. WILLIAMS, 71, passed away unexpectantly on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in LaPorte, Ind., Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea, and he worked as a conductor with Nickel Plate and Norfolk & Southern Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne Turners, Colonial Oaks Golf Club, and was the "Head Brat Man" at German Fest for many years. He enjoyed wood carving, golf, bowling, dartball, and loved his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of over 48 years, Diann Williams of Huntertown, Ind.; sons, Dean Williams of Fort Wayne and Scott (Kim) Williams of Saukville, Wis.; grandchildren, Nick, Tyler, Logan, and Andrew; brother, Jerry (Grace) Williams of South Carolina; and sister-in-law, Judy Williams of Montana. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Williams and Virginia Padgett; and brothers, Bobby Williams and Everett Padgett. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road.
