EVA E. HALL, 95, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, Eva graduated from North Side High School in 1937. She married the late Ward Hall on Sept. 30, 1938, in Columbia City, Ind. Eva worked at G.E. for 15 years, retiring in 1979. She was a life time member and past historian of American Legion 409 Auxiliary. She was also a member of Forty and Eight 176, GE Elex Club, V.F.W., and Amvets. Eva was a very talented artist. She drew mostly portraits and old fashion dressed from pencil and chalk. She had a love for dancing and singing Karaoke and was known as the dancing machine. She appeared on the radio singing with her husband's band years ago. She loved her family and cherished all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Kay Prewett of Fort Wayne; son, Joe Hall of Bloomington; grandchildren, Diann, Pamala, Jamie, Jeff, Jason, Pearl-Eve, and Preston; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Ashleigh, Jalen, Sydney, McKenzie, Tana, Jorja, Juliana, and Pearl-Eve's; and four children. She was preceded in death by parents, George and Roxella Cothrell; husband, Ward Hall; daughter, Janet Crabill; infant sister, Dora Mae Cothrell; sisters, Virginia Barfoot and Betty West; and brothers, George, Jack, and Kenneth Cothrell. Service is 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Cancer Service of Northeast Indiana in honor of Janet Hall Crabill or Wounded Warriors Project.
