LOUISE LAVENGOOD-BARBER, 83, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014. She lived in Fort Wayne most of her life and taught music for almost 25 years, before and after staying home and raising her children. She graduated from Illinois Weslyan where she studied classical piano and received a degree in music education. "We will dearly miss her." Louise was survived by her daughter, Betsy (Chris) Hoover of Rockwall, Texas; son, Brian (Laura) Barber of Austin, Texas; daughter, Victoria (Paul) Garretson of Franklin, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Becky Lavengood of Kokomo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Pauline Lavengood; brother, Richard Lavengood; and sisters, Ruth Coburn and Helen Lavengood. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at D.O.
