ALAN J. "AJ" PUFF, 21, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Alan worked as a fence installer with R & R Fencing. He was an avid racer, and raced at Baer Field, Angola and Kalamazoo Raceways. Surviving are his parents, John and Connie Puff of Fort Wayne; sisters, Karen (Chad) Weeks, April (Allen) Zent and Rose Puff, all of Fort Wayne; and brother, Gerald (Tracie) Niederholtmeyer of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Edgar Puff and Raymond McIntyre, and niece, Anghiel Puff. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the family.

Extremely difficult time in many lives. AJ was like a younger brother and I was privileged to have known him for as long as I have. He was always smiling and didn't seem to have a care in the world except for racing. RIP my friend. My heart felt condolences are sent to John, Connie, Karen, April, and Rosie.
