DONALD PAUL RAPP, 70, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, 8:10 p.m., at Heritage park Nursing Home. Born Dec. 1, 1936, in Johnstown, Pa., he was a graduate of Ohio State University. He worked in Data Processing/ Information Systems for 42 years. He was an avid history buff and enjoyed model making, aviation and painting figures. During his later years he enjoyed mentoring troubled high school students. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy E. (Zeunges) Rapp of Fort Wayne; daughters, Dawn Ellen Northern of Puyallup, Wash., Diana Lee Prebenda of Lebanon, Ohio, Dorothy Jean Bruce of Brookville, Ky., and Dana Jennifer Netting of Fort Wayne; sons, Dean Allen Rapp and Capt. Douglas C. Rapp, both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Earnest and Charles Rapp of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Donald Paul Rapp Jr. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. The Rev. Kyle Detmers officiating.
