AMY ELIZABETH KLEIN, 38, of Columbia City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, due to injuries she sustained in an accident on US 35 South of Kingsbury. Born Jan. 5, 1972, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Lloyd E. and Kathy Sue (Nebehy) Klein. She graduated with the class of 1991 from Northrop High School, Fort Wayne. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in mathematics from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne in 1993. For 20+ years, she was employed by Walgreen Drug Stores, serving in various capacities prior to becoming the assistant manager for Walgreen's located on Coventry Road, Fort Wayne. The majority of her lifetime was spent in Fort Wayne until she moved with her family to Columbia City, in 1998. Surviving are her mother, Kathy Sue Klein of Columbia City; sister, Jennifer Anne (Brent Bartol) York of Columbia City; nieces, Leah and Kayla York, both of Columbia City; nephew, Christopher Bartol of Columbia City; aunt, Carol (Tracy Swiontek) Nebehy of Chicago; and uncles, Lee (Pat) Klein of Warsaw and Larry J. Klein of Churubusco. She was preceded in death by a niece, Elizabeth Lynn; and her father, Lloyd on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 from injuries he incurred in the same accident. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with Pastor Paul Arnold of Columbia City United Methodist Church officiating. Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will follow service in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
