JORDEN WESLEY NICKOLS, , 21, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 19, 2011, 2:30 p.m., in Fort Wayne. Born March 2, 1990, in Muncie, he was the son of Jeffrey J. Nickols and Shelli L. (Bole) Nickols. He graduated from Blackford High School in 2009 where he played football and baseball. He was named C.I.C. Most Valuable Player for the Blackford County Bruins Baseball Team. He was attending his second year at Ball State University. He had also worked at Pretzel's in Bluffton during the summer months and holiday vacations. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Jeffrey J. and Shelli L. Nickols of Hartford City; brother, Jerrid R. (wife, Misty) Nickols of Ridgeville; sister, Krysta L. Nickols of Hartford City; nephew, Colton R. Nickols of Ridgeville; grandparents, Charles K. and Shirley A. (Oswalt) Bole of Hartford City; aunts and uncles, Pamela (husband, Dennis) Pratt, Michael (wife, Sherry) Nickols, Jackie (husband, Paul) Johnson, Sandy (husband, Tim) Norton, Sherri (husband, Dennis) Leas, and Charles D. Bole; and several great aunts, great uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack B. and Shirley M. (Renkenberger) Nickols; and uncle, Randy Bole. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Grace United Methodist Church, 312 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with visitation one hour prior. Jorden's Uncle Pastor Mike Nickols officiating. Visitation also from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City.
