WARREN J. WILHELM JR., 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at his home. Born in Evansville, he worked as an Associate Director of Continuing Medical Education with Parkview Hospital for 29 years. He graduated from Memorial High School. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Education from University of Evansville, Master's and Doctorate Degrees from Indiana University. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He served on Franciscan Center, Fort Wayne Educational Program, League for the Blind, March of Dimes, Bishop Dwenger High School Board, and United Way. He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue "Suzie" Wilhelm of Fort Wayne; daughters, Gretchen Wilhelm, Heidi (Dan) Howe and Erika Wilhelm, all of Fort Wayne; son, Hans (Melissa) Wilhelm of Columbia City; siblings, Gregory Wilhelm of Cherry Valley, Ill., Cynthia (Jim) Wilhelm-Hilkey of Durham, N.C. and Jeff (Phoebe) Wilhelm of Rockford, Ill.; grandchildren, Reyer, Charlie, Harrison, Eliza, Lincoln, Josie, and Addie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Emma Wilhelm Sr.; and son, Kurt Charles Wilhelm. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Msgr John Suelzer officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with Vigil at 4:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
