STEVE CLAPP, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at his home. He was the president of the nonprofit research organization Christian Community, Inc. and a volunteer pastor at Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren. He was the author or coauthor of over 30 books on congregational life. His past affiliations include serving as chairperson of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, the secretary of Planned Parenthood of Indiana, the chairperson of Greater Fort Wayne Campus Ministry, and the chairperson of the Indiana Consortium on United Ministries in Higher Education. He is survived by his wife, Sara Sprunger Clapp; two adult children, Holly Sprunger (Terry Zdon) and Michael Sprunger (Jessica Webster); and four grandchildren, Mats, Pavel, Foster, and Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Mary Jo Clapp. Private services pending. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home.
