JACK LEE MAINES, 70, of Huntertown, died peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his home. He enjoyed his extended family as owner of the Ponytown U.S.A. Campground in north Fort Wayne for more than 30 years. He also provided the ponies at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for many years. He worked for Irving Ready-Mix for over 20 years and most recently owner / operator of North Septic Pumping, Huntertown. He served his country stationed in Ft. McClellan, Ala. and was an active member of the Huntertown Masonic Lodge 689. He entertained many people over the years with his music and sharp wit. He also loved to golf and enjoyed his winters in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Maines; nephew, Parker Bradtmiller; daughters, Sara ( Brad) Pio and Eve Brindle; son, Gabe ( Lisa) Brindle; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Maines; and sister, Janice Maines Bradtmiller. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road. Calling is 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 and Friday, June 8, 2012, at the funeral home, with a Masonic service 7:30 p.m. Friday.
