ALAN D. BOYLE SR., 70, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. Born in Fort Wayne, he retired from The City of Fort Wayne Water Filtration Plant. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Harmony Lodge 19, I.O.O.F. (Independent Order of Odd Fellows), and held the rank of Past Grand. He was also a charter member of Santorum 214 A.M.O.S. (Ancient Mystic Order of Samaritans) with the rank of Past Divisional Monarchos. He held many lesser offices in both the Odd Fellows and A.M.O.S. Surviving are his daughter, Laura (Brett) Nanna; son, Alan (Sharee) Boyle Jr.; brothers, Dan (Lynn) Boyle and Ray Boyle; sister, Bev Brincefield; stepbrother, Walter Smola; and grandchildren, Joshua, Trent, Larissa, Allison, and Seth. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m Friday at the funeral home, with an I.O.O.F. Service at 7 p.m. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven.
