MILTON R. McLAIN, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Heritage Park. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Robert and Hazel McLain. He served two years in the Army during World War II and had retired from Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire after 39 years of service, in 1989. "He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather." He is survived by his loving wife, Erma M. McLain (they married on June 25, 1949); daughters, Janet McLain and Donna Wies, both Fort Wayne; son, Richard (Anita) McLain of Kiowa, Colo.; sisters, Lorraine Tew and Eleanor Smith; granddaughters, Linda, Kristy, Tara, and Miranda; and two great-grandchildren, Kiley and Chance. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob McLain. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.
