DONNA J. ANDERSON, passed away on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 (Christmas Eve) at Kingston at Dupont. A daughter of Frank and Una Brouwer, she was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne and a graduate of South Side High School. She worked as a substitute teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools and then as secretary to the building manager of Lincoln Tower. She loved walking, swimming, and knitting "scrubbies" to give away. She visited 49 states and traveled the world from Egypt to Antarctica. She was a member of Redeemer, St. Peter's, and most recently Epiphany Lutheran Churches. She is survived by daughter, Sue Davis; son, Jim (Linda) Anderson; and grandchildren, Molly Davis, and Chloe, Sam, Clare, Lily, Leah Anderson and Casey Haakenson. She was preceded in death by husband, Dwight (Andy); son, Wes; sister, Margaret Tholen; and brother, Richard Brouwer. "The family thanks Kingston's staff for their patience, kindness and caring." Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road. Memorials may be made to The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo or F.W.C.S. Speech Therapy Services. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
