DON M. ALLISON, 72, of Auburn, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at DeKalb Health, Auburn. Born June 18, 1940, in Auburn, he was the son of the late Donald M. and Frances (Mc Cormick) Allison. Don was a graduate of Auburn High School; Purdue University, earning a B.S. in Industrial Management; and Cal State-Long Beach where he received his MBA. On Nov. 25, 1967, he married Carla Ann (Ahlstrom) in Long Beach, Calif. Don was the former owner of Entre Computer, Fort Wayne and then sold his business to Future Now where he stayed on as management. He was also in sales with Bullock Garages and Schmucker Construction. He was a member of Auburn Presbyterian Church where he served the church in the past as Deacon, Elder and as part of the Presbytery. Don was a founding board member of DeKalb County Community Foundation and had also served as a board member for DeKalb County Hope and enjoyed mentoring students at J.R. Watson elementary. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Carla Ann Allison of Auburn; daughter and son-in-law, Aimee Marie and Billy Compton of Lexington, Ky.; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Scott and LeAnn Allison of Del Rio, Texas; two brothers, Lee M. Allison of Phoenix, Ariz. and Phillip M. (Nancy) Allison of Auburn; and three grandchildren, Jacob Compton, Madelline Compton and Donald Rees Allison. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, with calling one hour prior, at Auburn Presbyterian Church, 111 W. 12th St., Auburn. The Rev. Lyle Ewing and the Rev. Derrick Sneyd officiating. Memorial visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pinnington-McComb Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main St., Auburn. A private family burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
