PATRICIA EVA PERLINI, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Colon, Germany, Patricia came to the United States with her mother in 1948. She attended the University of Illinois earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She later attended Indiana Purdue earning a Master's Degree in Communications. Patricia was first employed by the City of Fort Wayne as Director of Special Projects. Her leadership resulted in Fort Wayne receiving it's first All American City Award in 1982. As a Professional Media Coordinator for the defense industry, she had been employed with Hughes, Ford Aerospace, Janes Information Systems, Raytheon, ITT, and most recently Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC). She was a past board member of the Fort Wayne Ballet, and had recently successfully completed the Master Gardener course. She loved gardening, sewing, movies, reading, art, and had a passion for cooking. She delighted in hosting her annual Christmas celebration for her women friends. Surviving are her sons, Christopher E. Sheldon of Fort Wayne and Tim (Tami) Sheldon of Harlan; grandchildren, Natali, Bailey, Charlie, Weslee, Riely, and Elleigh Sheldon; brothers, Howard Willey of Cary, N.C. and Ojay Palmer of Indianapolis, Ind.; and friend, Kathy Sharp of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her father, Jay Ward Palmer; mother, Margit Palmer Jennings; and former husbands, Allen C. Sheldon Jr. and David M. Perlini. Service is 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.
