JAMES E. LAWSON, 70, left this world on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, with his wife of 32 years at his side. Born July 10, 1942, in Dryden, Va., he was the son of the late Rial Lawson and Jeanette (Huff) Lawson. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, his garden and lawn, NASCAR, and his dog, Theo. He retired from K-mart Distribution Center after 32 years and Parker Hanifin in New Haven. Surviving are his loving wife, Frances (Lorrie) Lawson of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Shirley (Bill) Howard of Pennington Gap, Va., Margaret (Danny) Olinger and Reba (Auburn)Olinger, both of Dryden, Va.; four brothers, Kyle (Betty) Lawson, Bob (Glenda) Lawson, Bruce (Virginia) Lawson of Dryden, Va.; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Lawson; one brother, Carl Lawson; and one sister, Anna Mae Waddell. A Celebration of Life gathering is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at American Legion Post 330, 330 Entrance Drive, New Haven. Memorials to Visiting Nurse Hospice Home.
