RUDOLPHO "RUDY" M. GUERRERO, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Riverbend Health Care Center. Born in Guana juato, Mexico, Rudy was a World War II Army veteran. He worked for General Motors, in Defiance, Ohio, then Tokheim for 16 years before retiring in 1986. Rudy enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his friends and family. Surviving are his daughter, Maria (Donald) Slater of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Heather Guerrero and Adam Slater; great-granddaughter, Rubi Guerrero; and sisters, Carol Raquel and Lourdes (Blas) Rodriguez, both of Fort Wayne. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Amado and Sophia Guerrero; son, Joseph Guerrero (who was killed in action in Vietnam); and brother, Martin Guerrero. Service is 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fr. Thomas Shoemaker officiating.
