RICHARD E. ZURBUCH, 83, entered into eternal rest on the morning of Friday, May 17, 2013 in the loving presence of his family. He was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., on May 7, 1930. Richard served in the Korean War and upon return completed his education at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago and Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Terri Steele, in October of 1957. He worked at ITT Aerospace/Optical as an electrical engineer for 22 years and owned Bresler's 33 Flavors Ice Cream Shop in the Glenbrook Mall for 22 years. He retired in 1998. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved working around his cottage on Snow Lake. His hobbies included exercising, boating, hiking and golfing. For several years, he and his wife enjoyed traveling around the United States in their RV. Surviving are his wife, Terri M. Zurbuch of Fort Wayne; sons, Jeffrey L. (Ana Maria) of Dallas, Texas, and Robert H. (Jennifer) of Fort Wayne; daughters, Lori E. Achenbach and Linda M. Zurbuch, both of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, James (Sandy) Zurbuch and Donald M. (Sally) Zurbuch, both of Fort Wayne, Edward J. (Marge) Zurbuch of Lewiston, N.Y.; sister, Diane Zurbuch of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Agnes Zurbuch; son, Michael R. Zurbuch; sister, Genevieve Wendt; and brother-in-law, Leonard Wendt. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Msgr. John N. Suelzer officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road.
