VIRGINIA L. "GINNY" BRAUN, 83, of Decatur, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Mon roeville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Vizard) Cagnet. On Nov. 4, 1950, she married Eugene A. Braun. Ginny was a 60+ year member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She had worked for International Harvester, CTS, North Adams Schools as a part-time school bus driver, and GE until 1993. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. Ginny enjoyed cooking, traveling and family time. Survivors include her husband, Eugene A. Braun of Decatur; six children, Dennis (Julie) Braun and James (Donette) Braun, both of Fort Wayne, Kenneth Braun, Dianna (Randall) Vetter, John Braun and Shaun (Sheri) Braun, all of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, Nick (Natasha) Braun, Clint Vetter, Janelle Braun, Brandon Braun, Casey (Katie) Vetter, Sommer Braun, Morgan Braun, Parker Braun, Hailey Braun, and Taylor Braun; and three great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Rylan Braun and Kaylee Vetter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Oris and John Cagnet. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with calling from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Father Dale Bauman officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
