CALVIN "JACK" MILLER, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Fort Wayne. Born in Ligonier, Jack worked at Eckrich for 37 years, retiring in 1984. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church along with Eagles 248; American Legion Post 296; and V.F.W. 10006. Jack was an avid bowler, golfer, and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Surviving are his wife, Delores Miller of Fort Wayne; son, Gary (Robin) of Fort Wayne; daughter, Pam (Jim) Patterson of Fort Wayne; sons, Eugene (Carol) and Ron (Jenny), both of Fort Wayne, Keith (Anita) of New Haven, and Kevin (Christine) of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Woods of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Katherine Miller; two brothers; and five sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 S. Fairfield Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
