LEONARD J. GLASER, 80, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at home. Born in Fort Wayne, Leonard was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and worked as a Machine Operator with Slater Steel for 39 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church; Local 14 United Steel Workers; Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling out west, pheasant and rabbit hunting, and was an avid Notre Dame Football and I.U. Basketball fan. Surviving are his sons, Michael L. (Terri) Glaser of Angola, and Steven J. (Becky) Glaser of Fort Wayne; daughter, Lynn M. Daring of Fort Wayne; grand daughter, Allison Daring of Fort Wayne; brother, James J. (Sharon) Glaser of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Phyllis Glaser of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Kathryn Glaser; brother, Edward Glaser; sister, Carolyn Buckmaster. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive with calling one hour prior. Father Robert D'Souza officiating. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with a vigil at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
