THELMA M. SPERONE

THELMA M. SPERONE, 91, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at St. Anne's Home with her husband by her side. She was born in Fort Wayne on Jan. 2, 1922 a daughter of the late Carl and Ruth (Riley) Orm-iston. She served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for many years. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Kmart Distribution Center for over 30 years, from which she retired in 1988. She is survived by her husband Joseph N. Sperone of Fort Wayne; sons, Joseph R. (Mary) Sperone of San Francisco, Calif. and Ken (Terri) Sperone, of Vail, Ariz.; sister, Virginia Lough of Fort Wayne; brothers, James Ormiston of Huntersville, N.C. and Carl Ormiston of Fort Wayne; her grandson, Nicholas; and her granddaughter, Sophia. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas; grandson, Dominic; sister, Dr. Maxine Huffman; and brother, Darrel Ormiston. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
