CATHERINE K. MACK, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in Lubbock, Texas, from a massive stroke. Catherine received her BS in Education from Morris Harvey College, her MA in Early Childhood from West Virginia University, and taught for over 30 years in West Virginia. She was voted "Teacher of the Year' and 'Democratic Woman of the Year'. She had authored two books. Catherine leaves behind a legacy that she and her husband, Carl Mack, nurtured for many years at Camp Thomas E. Lightfoot, in Hinton, W.Va., that has been remembered by thousands of children. "She was loved and will be missed by many." She is survived by her two children, Frank C. Mack, of Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Mack (Rex A.) Meekin of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Joshua and Jeremiah Adkins; and sisters, Thelma Cunningham, Betty Jo Groscup and Glenice Perry. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Carl M Mack; parents, Jacob J. and Nellie Kossuth; and brother, J J. Kossuth Jr. of Florida. Services pending at this time.
