ROBERT HUTNER Obituary

ROBERT WOLF HUTNER, 83, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Born Sept. 6, 1931, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late David S. and Dorothy W. (nee Wolf) Hutner and proudly served his country in the US Army. He was the retired President of Hutner's Paris clothing store, past-President of I.A.D.A.C., he served as the 1st President the McMillen Center, past-President of Washington House and Hutner Guidance Center; also the past-Vice President of the Enterprise Zone Association, City Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals. He was a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest civilian award given in Indiana. Robert had a passion for animals and improving his beloved city of Fort Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon E. (nee Latham) Hutner; sister, Suzanne Hutner Gilson; sons, David S. (Marni) Hutner II, Robert W. Hutner Jr. and Brian D. (Kelly) Hutner; grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Kayla, Victoria, Samuel Wolf, Katlin and Ryan David; step-grandson, Evan Salah. He was also preceded in death by many beloved pets, including Elsa and Ellie. Private family service was held. Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or the Allen County S.P.C.A. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of this wonderful, amazing man. My heart just fell when I saw this notice. He will be missed by many.
