ROCHESTER - Paul Nutter Brock of Kihei, Maui passed suddenly November 5, 2012. Paul was born May 24, 1958 to Joan and Edward P. Brock, Jr. of Melrose, Mass,, his middle name being that of Joan's grandfather, a minister for decades. Paul lived in Massachusetts, seacoast New Hampshire and Maine for many years, graduating from Massabesic High School in Waterboro, Maine in 1976. Paul joined the US Army for four years, traveling throuout the US with his wife, Holly Roberts, of Alfred, Maine later to include Germany where his daughter, Sarah was born. Once back in the States, his son Tyler was born.
Paul moved to Maui, Hawaii in the 1980s and during a period of more than twenty years established a reputable business designing & delivering high-end, custom kitchens, baths and unique living spaces to discerning Hawaiian home owners. Some of his designs were award winning, including work for Hollywood royalty. While in Hawaii, Paul married Shawnee Duncan and they had a son, Samuel. Paul enjoyed living at the edge of life, getting pleasure from water and snow skiing, scuba diving, surprise visits, a higher spirit, humor and family.
Paul was pre-deceased by his father, Edward P. Brock, Jr. and was survived by his mother Joan Brock (who passed December 26, 2012), brothers Edward III (wife Mei Feng and son Adam) of Utah, Deane of Calif. and David of N.H. He is also survived by his uncle and family, William Brock, of Mass., his beloved daughter Sarah and her husband Josh Hebert and kids Caleb and Jake of North Berwick, Maine, sons Tyler Brock of Wells, Maine and Sam Brock of Minnesota.
A memorial service for Paul Nutter Brock and his mother, Joan Brock is scheduled for February 2 , 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street, Somersworth, N.H. Care for the Brock family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
