Gabriel Baez
DOVER - Gabriel Isaac Baez, 40, of Baker Street, Dover, passed away on December 25, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side.
Gabriel lost his 2 year battle with cancer, but he fought a courageous fight. He went through so much but his strength was an inspiration. He never felt sorry for himself and would always say, "It is what it is, and it could always be worse."
Gabriel was born on March 6, 1972, in Manhattan, N.Y.; the son of Casto and Awilda Baez.
Gabriel was employed with Foss Manufacturing for many years. He was an avid video gamer; and a proud New York Yankees fan: he enjoyed reading comic books, listening to music, and watching movies; but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Gabriel was a true kid at heart; he loved playing tricks on the family. He always had a joke, or a special saying or slogan. "Man up" was something he would always say and he did just that, he "manned up" until he passed away.
We will all miss his smile, his laugh, his hugs and his physical presence, but he will always be with us in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal (Studrance) Baez of Dover; his son Marcus Baez and his daughter Chanyce Baez both of Dover; his grandchildren, Marcus Baez Jr. of Portsmouth and Amari Baez of Alexandria, Va.; his parents, Casto and Awilda Baez of Lawrence, Mass.; his sisters, Diana Raines of Atlanta, Ga., Doris Moreno of Methuen, Mass, Arelys Moreno of North Andover, Mass.; Mother in law Ella Studrance of Greenland; sisters in law; Renee Cheatham and husband Stephen of Dayton, Ohio; Allison Studrance of Philadelphia, Pa.; Best friend Shelli Ross of Baltimore, Md.; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends.
