Althena R. Moulton
FARMINGTON - Althena R. Moulton, "Al", age 86, of Green Street in Farmington, died peacefully at home, June 6, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 29, 1927 in East Rochester, the daughter of Everett and Isabelle (Hartford) Rendell, she resided there for years and resided in Farmington since 1954.
A shoeworker at the former Somersworth Wood Heel for 42 years, she retired from the former Alton Shoe in Farmington.
Al was an active volunteer with the Farmington 500 Boys and Girls Club, she enjoyed going to camp at Shaw's Pond with Rit and Evelyn, enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed Bowling and Bingo.
Survived by her husband of almost 65 years: Robert E. "Buzz" Moulton, 2 children: Gloria Jean and husband Dave Vachon, Paul R. and wife Linda Moulton, 6 grandchildren: Danielle, Joseph and Gerry Vachon, Corey, Jamie and Mike Moulton, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 3 siblings: Everett Rendell, Louise Ayers and Mary Rendell, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Lawrence "Rippy" Rendell.
Calling hours are Monday from 4-6 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, N.H., a service at 6 p.m., with Pastor Bob Walsh, of the Nute Ridge Bible Chapel, officiating.
