Bobby Benton

ALTON — Bobby Dale Benton, 74, of Mt. Major Highway, died Aug. 31, 2009, at his home.

He was born in Lodi, Mo., Aug. 25, 1935, son of the late David and Helen Olivia (Benton) White.

Mr. Benton worked for Olive Gardens for 30 years as a chef.

He loved fishing, had a big passion for cooking, enjoyed reading and loved animals. He was very close to his mother and had a deep love for his family.

Predeceased by his brother Jim White, he is survived by his wife, Roseann Nicastro of Alton; two sons, Jon Nicastro of Alton and Anthony Nicastro of Manchester; a brother, David White of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two sisters, Glenda Rae Crumrine of Greenville, Mo., Charlene Allen of Silva, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Friday, Sept. 4, followed by a service at 12 p.m. at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro. Burial will be in George W. Twidwell cemetery in Silva, Mo., at a later date.
