ROCHESTER - Claude Trepanier, 80, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Colonial Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rochester, after a long period of failing health.
Claude was born in Sacre Coeur de Jesus, Q.C., Canada on October 15, 1932, the son of Rodolphe and Laura (Pomerleau) Trepanier and lived in Rochester since 1960, moving from Canada. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Rochester, where he formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of Club Richelieu. Before his retirement, he was a lifelong master carpenter using his skills and leadership in the construction of several churches in the area, including Our Lady of the Holy rosary Church. Claude enjoyed watching hockey, tinkering in the garage, working on renovations, card playing, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family.
Surviving members of the family include his wife of fifty-seven years, Carmelle (Faucher) Trepanier of Rochester; four sons, Mario Trepanier and his wife, Kim, John Trepanier and his wife, Terri, Guy Trepanier, all of Rochester and Marc Trepanier and his wife, Sally Ann of Merrimack; one daughter, Claire Trepanier and her partner, Dave Gagne of Rochester. He also leaves three brothers, Marcel Trepanier and YvonTrepanier, both of Montreal, Canada, and Laurent Trepanier of Rochester; seven sisters, Jeanne d'Arc of St. Victor, Colette Vachon of East Broughton, Lucille Trepanier of Thetford Mines, Suzanne Thivierge of East Broughton, Nicole Trepanier of Montreal, Lise Gagne of East Broughton, and Francine Jacques of Tring-Junction, all of Canada; as well as nine grandchildren, Ryan Trepanier and his wife, Brandie, Eric Trepanier, Daniel Trepanier and his wife, Courtney, Michael Trepanier, all of Rochester, Andrew Trepanier and his wife, Christina of Boxford, Mass, and Amy Trepanier Chisholm and her husband, Cody of East Rochester, Amanda Smith and her fiance, Jason Turner of Northfield, Melissa Trepanier and Jacob Trepanier both of Merrimack; two great granddaughters, Elise Marie Trepanier and Brynn Elizabeth Trepanier both of Rochester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, N.H. on Sunday, December 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 3 at Our Lady of the Holy rosary Church in Rochester, followed by burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
