GREENLAND — Donald Louis Arsenault, 77, of 410 Portsmouth Avenue, Greenland, died Feb. 13, 2012.
Born in South Portland, Maine on May 17, 1934, he was the son of Joseph and Margaret Arsenault.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Jean E. Arsenault of Fryeburg, Maine.
He is also survived by their three children, Joseph Robert Arsenault and wife Linda of Portsmouth, Julia Ann Kennedy and husband Hugh of Silver Spring, Md. and James Louis Arsenault and wife Lara of New Hampton; his grandchildren, Ryder, Dempsey, Beau and Quinn; and stepgrandsons, Jesse and wife Kristin and Brendan and wife Jacquie.
Don received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine, belonged to Phi Mu Delta fraternity and served in the Army
Reserves as a First Lieutenant. He was employed by Dupont and later worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass. A resident of Greenland since 1970, he founded DLA Realty and was a commercial real estate broker for over thirty years as well as a volunteer on the Greenland zoning board of adjustments.
Don enjoyed working outdoors, playing golf and spending time with his family. An avid sports fan, he particularly enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey, among other sports.
