ROCHESTER<B> </B>—<B> </B>Harold S. Arenburg, 89, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, N.H. after a period of failing health.
Mr. Arenburg was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada, on Aug. 26, 1922, the son of Caleb and Irene (Driscoll) Arenburg and had been living in Rochester for the past 26 years, moving from Beverly, Mass. Prior to his retirement he worked at General Electric in Lynn, Mass. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Rochester. He was a former member of the K of C, enjoyed playing baseball, was an avid fan and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving members of the family include R. Thelma Arenburg of Rochester; his children, Harold Paul Arenburg, Judith Irene Duggan and her husband, Keith, Christopher James Arenburg and his wife, Joan, Jane Elizabeth Lyman, Michael Francis Arenburg and his wife, Karen, Heidi Marie Molloy and Deborah Anne Roedel and her husband, Fred; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours, family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Mary's Church, 71 Lowell St., Rochester.
