Lois Jean Woodman
BERWICK, Maine - Lois Jean Woodman, 84, of Cincotta Lane, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Varney Crossing Nursing Care, surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was born May 16, 1928 in Wells, Maine a daughter of Eben and Alice (Matthews) Sayward. She worked for 22 years at Janco, Inc. until her retirement in 1992.
Lois was a loving, caring mother and doting grandmother, who spoiled not only her own grandchildren, but every child she ever met. She loved to sing, dance and travel. Her favorite place to be was camping in the White Mountains of N.H.
She was predeceased by her close companion, John 'Jack' Flannigan; her brother, Dickie Sayward; and her sister, Muriel Lennon.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Helen McGowen of Rochester, and her children, Scott, Shawn, and Donna; her son, Kirtland Woodman III of Wells, Maine and his children, Joe, Mike, and Jason; her son, James Woodman of Wells, Maine and his children, Christie, Lorna, Bobby-Jean, and Randy; her daughter, Sandra Chadbourne-Gunter and her husband, Tony Gunter of Milton, and their children, Ken and Nicole; her daughter, Debra Chandler and her husband, James Chandler of Berwick, Maine and their children, Jeremy and Adam; her sister, Janice Norton of Wells, Maine; and many great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel, 36 Rochester Street, Berwick, Maine. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick, Maine.
