DES ARC, Ark. - Marsha Jean Poole, 66, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at her home in Des Arc, Arkansas from natural causes. She was born on November 21, 1946, in Dover, N.H., to Merle and Rachel (Gibbs) Wentworth.
Marsha grew up in Dover, and attended Dover High School. After high school she moved south and eventually made Arkansas her home.
Marsha was an avid collector of angels and dachshund keepsakes. She had a love for animals of all kinds. She owned four dachshunds that she lovingly referred to as her 'kids.' Her favorite charity was the Humane Society.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents Merle and Rachel (Gibbs) Wentworth and her husband Ernest (Ernie) Poole.
Marsha is survived by her daughter Debra (Tuttle) Markson of Nottingham; her sister Linda Duke of Chicken, Alaska; her sister Susan Beach of Dover; her sister Sandra Sweeney of Newington; her sister Bonnie Bittner of Dover; her sister Betty Love of Rochester; her brother Danny Wentworth of Crosby, Texas; her brother Merle Wentworth of Dover, granddaughters Lana Markson, Shani Markson and Kaylin Markson, all of Nottingham; a great-grandson Jackson Alan Markson of Nottingham; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial services was held at the Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen, Arkansas on January 9, 2013. Pastor Kenny Pasley led the service.
A memorial service will be held in New Hampshire later this year.
