Mary "Dolly" O'Donnell

DOVER - Mary "Dolly" Dorothy Drea O'Donnell, passed away peacefully at her home on November 23, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Dolly was born on February 2, 1933 in Malden, Mass. the daughter of Frances and John Drea. She attended Dorchester High School and was a graduate from the Catherine Laboure Nursing School in Dorchester, Mass.

Dolly married James in 1955 and moved to Dover in 1958. She was a very active member of her church, St Joseph's and always made religion an important part of her life. She was a member of The Altar and rosary Society and the Red Hat Society. She loved to knit and crochet and always had a sweater or afghan in the works. Some of Dolly's favorite times were spent at the Cape sitting on her front porch or baking one of her many dessert specialties. She loved family and always enjoyed being together.

She was preceded in death by her infant brother, John Drea; father, John Drea; stepfather, Thomas Linnane; brother, Joseph Linnane; mother, Frances Linnane and husband, James M. O'Donnell.

Survivors include her three children, James M. O'Donnell Jr. and his wife Elaine of Lee, Annemarie O. Lemoyne and her husband, Norman of Dover, and Christopher J. O'Donnell of Dover; five grandchildren, Michael O'Donnell and his wife, Dixie of Rochester, Laura O'Donnell and her fiance, Dan Timmons of Somersworth, Matthew Lemoyne of Chicago, IL, Nicholas Lemoyne of Dover, and Tyler Lemoyne of Dover; two great grandchildren, Tayla and Cody O'Donnell of Rochester; her sisters, Ann Crehan and husband, William of Raynham, Mass., Joan Lawrence and husband, David of Rouses Point, N.Y, Joyce Brosseau and husband, Richard of Milton, Vt. and a brother, Thomas Linnane of Cali.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our special thanks go out to the outstanding care given to her by Atlantic Homelife Senior Care and the wonderful women who were our helping hands and loving hearts when we were not able to be with her. She loved them all.

Calling hours will be on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, N.H. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Joseph's Church 150 Central Ave. Dover.
