Ray F. Hodsdon
BERWICK, Maine - Ray F. Hodsdon, 71, of Berwick, died early Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Roxbury, Maine on July 2, 1942, a son of Philo and Alice (Taylor) Hodsdon. He was raised in Frye and a 1960 graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford, Maine. After graduation he enrolled in the Machinist Apprentice Program at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, beginning a 35 year career as a Machinist and Design Engineer. During this time he met his wife of 47 years Elaine Kimball. Early in his career, he enlisted and served in the Army
He was a longtime member of the Lions Club, and in his spare time enjoyed antique cars, fishing, woodworking and camping.
He was predeceased by his first wife Elaine Kimball Hodsdon in 2010, two brothers, Douglas Hodsdon in 2000 and Roy Hodsdon in 2006 and brother-in-law Robert Kimball 2012.
Survivors include his son Andrew and wife Tamara Hodsdon of Berwick, Maine; his grandchildren Alexander and Jillian Hodsdon of Berwick; second wife Nancy (Diamant) Kimball of Berwick, a brother Roscoe and wife Lorrie Hodsdon of Frye, Maine, sister-in-law Earlene Rosenberg of Bryant Pond, Maine, Karen Hodsdon of Frye Maine, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
