Roland L. Castonguay
LEBANON, Maine - Roland L. Castonguay, 68, died at his home on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, after a period of failing health.
Roland was born in Sanford, Maine, on June 18, 1944, the son of Henry and Marie Jean (Cote) Castonguay and was a longtime resident of Lebanon. He was the former proprietor of Route 16 Auto Body in Somersworth. He was a member of the Mercy Circle and a member of the Mother Angeline Ministry of Care at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and loved to fish, enjoyed his children and grandchildren, his family was important to him. His favorite place to be was Feltzen South, Nova Scotia, where he had many wonderful friends.
Surviving members of the family include: his wife, Shirley Castonguay of Lebanon, Maine; four sons, Douglas H. Castonguay and his wife Jenny of Farmington, Kenneth Castonguay and his wife Michelle of Sanbornville, Andrew Wood of Farmington, and David Wood and his wife Stacie of Lebanon, Maine; one daughter, Nicole Castonguay of Newport, Maine; an adopted family member, Paula Court; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves two special friends, Sylvia Knight and Terry Nixon, both of Nova Scotia.
Visitation will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, N.H. on Sunday, March 10, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, N.H.
