Ruth Caroline Eno Clippert

NORTH BERWICK, Maine - Ruth Caroline Eno Clippert, 82, of North Berwick, passed away on Wednesday May 1, 2013 in Kennebunk, Maine. She was born in Vineland, New Jersey on January 16, 1931 a daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Kimble) Eno.

Ruth was a substitute teacher in North Berwick schools. She was a longtime private tutor for disabled children. For a number of years she served as librarian at the D.A. Hurd Library in North Berwick. She was a long time member of the North Berwick Philomath Club. During retirement in Lake County Florida, she was active in Disabled American Veterans auxiliary activities, leading a variety of activities and attending numerous DAV conventions, both state and national. As a resident of Atria Kennebunk, she knit countless layette items for St. Andre's Home. Along with her husband, they enjoyed traveling to Italy, Germany, Japan and across the United States

She was predeceased by her brother, Gilbert Eno.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Emory Clippert of Kennebunk, Maine; and children Laura Lyons of Portland, John and Judy Clippert of Westminster, Maryland; Lisa and Bruce Brunelle of Sanford, Maine and Alec and Jody Clippert of Berwick, Maine; and 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild, sister, Constance Tryon of Pownal as well as numerous nieces and nephews.



Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
