SOMERSWORTH - Andre´ Joseph Bolduc, beloved husband, father, and grandfather and great grandfather, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born June 22, 1940 in Somersworth, the second of three children of the late Mr. Alpha and Bertha Bolduc.

He is predeceased by his sister Patricia and his brother Roland.
Andre´ ("Andy") was a lifelong resident of Somersworth; he is survived by his wife of 55 years Carole (Bouchard) Bolduc, his four children; Daniel Bolduc and his wife Jennifer, David Bolduc and his wife Valerie, Lorie Hopkins and her Husband Patrick and Cindy Carroll and her husband John; six grand-children; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind numerous friends in New Hampshire and Florida.
Andy lived an accomplished life. He attended Saint Martin's Academy and Somersworth High School. He continued his education at St. Anselm's College earning an associate's and bachelor's degree in science and later a master's degree in public administration from Golden Gate University. He had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, serving 20 years with the Somersworth police department, holding the position of Chief of Police when he retired. While serving on the police force Andy attended the FBI National Academy completing a course of study as part of the Academy's 107th Session. After his career in public service, Andy had a successful career in the public sector working at Janco in Somersworth, N.H. and CTS Corporation in Bedford, NH. After ending his private sector career he worked for several years as a bus driver in the Oyster River public school system and was affectionately known as the "Driver of Bus #38". Andy was an active member of the Somersworth Lions Club serving as President and later as District Governor. He was honored by the organization for his work supporting Camp Pride a retreat for children with special needs.
He will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday October 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Saint Martin's Church, West High Street, Somersworth, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contribution be made to
in his honor.
