S. BERWICK, Maine — Barbara Ann (Littlefield) Hildreth, 69, who was raised in Tewksbury, Mass., died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her husband and son. She was the beloved wife of Daniel W. Hildreth IV and was anticipating their 40th wedding anniversary and her birthday on June 18.

Barbara was born in Boston, Mass. daughter of the late Richard A. and Alice M. (McEachern) Littlefield. After living part of her life in Dorchester, Mass. she and her family moved to Tewksbury in 1955. As a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School Class of 1960, she attended and graduated from Saint John's Hospital Medical Technicians program and rose to become the Supervisor of the Hospital's Blood Bank. While working at Wang Laboratories, she met her future husband Daniel. After the birth of their son, she became a stay-at-home mom. After living in Nashua, she moved to Derry, giving birth to her son, then onto Weare, and then 17 years in Wrentham, Mass. Later, she retired to So. Berwick, Maine.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Daniel W. Hildreth V, and his spouse Brian Dellascio of No. Chelmsford; a sister, Anne Marie Burgess and her husband Chester of Tewksbury, Mass.; brothers Thomas Littlefield of Londonderry, and Stephen Littlefield and his wife Cindy (Bond) of Tyngsboro; and five nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Monday, June 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, phone (800 in Mass. or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass Tuesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury.
