Carlton R. Gosselin, Sr.
SHAPLEIGH, Maine - Carlton R. Gosselin, Sr. passed away March 25, 2015 in Athens, Texas, following a period of failing health.
He was born October 17, 1920 in Rochester, New Hampshire to the late Joseph Ray and Nellie May Brown Gosselin.
Carlton served in the US Army during WWII. He had been a resident of Murchison, Texas for the past eight years. He was formerly of Maine.
He loved hunting and playing golf and he loved to go dancing.
He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carlton was preceded in death by his sons Lawrence Gosselin and Kenneth Gosselin, daughter Lois Snow.
Survivors include his children Carolyn McKenna and husband Raymond of Murchison, Carla Knight, Carlton Gosselin, Jr. both of Rochester, New Hampshire, Donna Sanger and husband Jimmy of Barrington, New Hampshire, his step-children Nancy Lord and husband Boomie, Elana and Ronnie, 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, and a special thanks to Skippy.
He was predeceased by his wife Pauline.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday April 1, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH.
A funeral service will be held at 1PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the New Cold Spring Cemetery at a later date.
