ROCHESTER - Charles M. Drew, Jr., age 78, of Rochester, died Feb. 4, 2013, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1934, in Rochester, he resided in the Union and Milton Mills area for many years, then lived in Georgia for years, where he worked as a preacher and moved back home to Rochester in 1972.
Charles ran his own art studio at home, where he taught art. He was also a musician.
He loved hunting and fishing and will be missed by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patsy Drew, a son Morris (Mark) Drew, his father Charles M. Drew, Sr., mother Katherine Drew and his stepmother, Pearl Drew.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law Pamela A. Drew and two grandsons, Marcus Drew and Jeremy Drew, and a granddaughter, Pamela Drew, all of Rochester; and two great-granddaughters, Karlee Drew of Rochester and Taylor Drew of Farmington.
