PORTSMOUTH - Daniel Alvin Curry died on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover, after losing his battle with ALS.
Daniel was born on July 15, 1946, in McKeesport, Pa., to Daniel and Mildred Curry. He moved to New Hampshire in 1988 with his wife and son.
Daniel worked as a software engineer. He was an active member of Elks Lodge #97, where he served as Exalted Ruler. He volunteered with the Portsmouth Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball as a board member and umpire.
He is survived by his wife Carol, of Portsmouth, and also his son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Beth Curry, currently of Washington, D.C.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Feb. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ALS Association, Northern New England Chapter, 10 Ferry Street, Suite 309, Concord, N.H. 03301.
