EAST ROCHESTER - Darren James Alan Mochrie, 40, died suddenly on Nov. 14, 2012, in East Rochester, N.H.

Darren, who was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on March 29, 1972, leaves his wife, Lesley Unger-Mochrie, and two daughters, Gillian, 14, and Natalie, 11, of East Rochester, N.H., where the family has lived for the past 13 years. Darren was Vice President and Principal at RKG Associates, Inc., an economic planning and real estate consulting firm in Dover, NH. Darren was known for his sense of humor and friendliness, as well as his volunteerism. He was active on the Ward 1 Safety Committee, and worked hard to foster community pride in East Rochester. He pitched in with girls' softball, and was a volunteer coach for his daughter's team. He will also be remembered for his love of the Toronto Blue Jays, which was second only to the love he held for his girls.

In addition to his wife and daughters, Darren is survived by his beloved Nana, of Stoney Creek, Ontario; he also leaves his parents, Bruce Gibson and Janice Suzanne (Armstrong) Mochrie, of Ancaster, Ontario; a brother and sister-in-law, Blair and Priscilla Mochrie, of Burlington, Ontario; as well as nieces, cousins, and many, many friends.

A wake will be held at the H. J. Grondin& Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester, NH, on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. Immediately following the wake will be a Celebrate Darren's Life and gathering to support his family at the Rolland Estate at the Governor's Inn, 78 Wakefield Street, Rochester, N.H. There will be a Memory Basket for people to record their reflections and recollections of Darren; photographs are also welcome and encouraged. The family requests that donations in Darren's memory be made to an educational fund that is being established for his daughters, Gillian and Natalie Unger-Mochrie, at the Federal Savings Bank in Dover, NH.
