WARWICK, R.I.— Deane A. Percy, 83, passed away recently.
Born in Laconia, N.H., the son of the late Max And Elinor (Davis) Percy, he was a longtime Dover resident. Deane was employed with Foster's Daily Democrat in Dover for 42 years, before this retirement in 1995.
He was a Marine veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a loving and caring person and was very outgoing. He always made time for others. He was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Percy of Warwick, R.I.; a son, Dane Percy of Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Matthew and Timothy Percy; a sister, Phyllis Frew; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, William and Loren Percy.
Interment with military honors was held at a private family service at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
