DOVER - Dr. Edmond S. Perry, 100, passed away on December 16, 2012 in his home at Watson Fields surrounded by his loving family and caregivers.

He was born in 1912 in New York City and grew up in Chicago, Illinois a first generation U.S. citizen. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He then earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin.
In 1939, he married June E. Warner, whom he met while attending the University of Wisconsin. They then moved to Rochester, N.Y. where he worked for Eastman Kodak Company. Edmond received many promotions and honors while working at Eastman Kodak and was promoted to assistant to the head of the research department, where he worked until his retirement.
As a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he will be treasured in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his two daughters of Dover, Judith Widmark and Virginia Hess and husband Robert. He leaves five grandchildren and their spouses, Daryl and Laura Justham of Rochester, Timothy and Meghan Palmer of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dana Bertholdt of Dover, Jonathan Widmark of Seekonk, Mass. and Jennifer and Ryan Johnson of Rochester. He also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Christian Robert Palmer, Emma Louise Johnson, and Tyler Edmond Johnson.
