BARRINGTON — George M. Stelmach, 40, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born April 26, 1972, in Newburyport, Mass. Formerly of Epping, he had been a resident of Barrington for the past five years. George was employed for the past 13 years as the Assistant Director of Maintenance and Director of Purchasing at Webster at Rye, in Rye, N.H., where he loved to work, and was loved by everyone both young and old. A skilled and talented handyman, he was always ready, able, and willing to help anyone he knew in need.

A gentle, soft-spoken and selfless man, he always had a smile on his face and was never known to say a bad word about anyone. His proudest achievement and greatest love were his children, and he looked forward to their weekly breakfast outings together. George was outgoing, and was always on the go. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including golfing, boating and jet skiing, and was happiest when he was spending time with his extended family.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sandra Jackson, her two twin children, Lydia and Logan Jackson, her father Edwin McFadden, all of Barrington; his four children, Catherine Horton, Ashley Stelmach, Ahren Stelmach and Taylor Stelmach of Epping; his stepfather, Michael Baruch; brother, Ahren Stelmach; and sister, Eve Gouette, all of Prescott, Ariz.

George's passing has left countless people with a giant hole in their hearts. He will be greatly missed by all.

A celebration of his life will be held at Webster at Rye, 795 Washington Road, Rye, N.H. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

A memorial fund to help George's family has been established. Checks can be made out to Webster at Rye and mailed or delivered to 795 Washington Rd, Rye, N.H. 03870.
