ROCHESTER - Hannah C. Parfitt, 65, of Rochester, died Nov. 24, 2012, at the Hyder House hospice in Dover. She was born on May 26, 1947, in Manchester, the daughter of Dr. John W. and Edith Mary (Rowe) Parfitt. Hannah graduated from Central High School, and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

She is survived by two brothers, John Parfitt of Manchester; Christopher Parfitt of Ogunquit. Maine; a sister, Rebecca Parfitt of DeKalb, Ill.; nephews, Christopher Parfitt and wife Cindy, of Union City, N.J. and Ian Parfitt, of Canandaigua, N.Y.; nieces, Susannah Bernheim and husband Caleb Kleppner of New Haven, Conn., Sarah Machado of Portland, Maine, and Hannah Parfitt, of West Hollywood, Cali; and a grand-niece Lila Kleppner and a grand-nephew Isaac Kleppner, both of New Haven, Conn. Hannah was employed by RKM Research, of Portsmouth.
Hannah was a skilled craftsperson, doll maker, assemblage artist, jewelry designer and decoupage artist. She was a keen devotee of opera, old movies, and the musical theater, and of her cats. Her generous, warm spirit, creativity, and wit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A commemorative gathering will be scheduled in the near future.
