PORTSMOUTH — Ida Ann Ricker of Portsmouth died on Friday, July 27, 2012, with her family at her side.Ida was the daughter of Joseph and Lydia Neri and lived in Portsmouth since her birth on June 11, 1926. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1944.

Ida was head bookkeeper for Ralph T. Wood Motors Dodge Plymouth Dealership for many years leaving for employment at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring after 30 years as a personnel staffing specialist.
Upon retirement, she was employed as a part-time administrative assistant for the Northeast Credit Union and part-time receptionist for the City of Portsmouth.
She was devoted to the care of her family and had many interests which included music, dance, painting and socializing with her friends of many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Ann Ricker and Granddaughter, Nicole Ann Johnson and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Herbert (Rick) Ricker of 47 years and brother, Alfred Neri.
Services: visiting hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home ¿ Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth, N.H. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Harmony Grove Cemetery, South Street, Portsmouth. Friends invited.
