James B. Wheat

DOVER - James B. Wheat, 52, of Dover died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

He was born July 21, 1960, in San Diego, Calif., the son of Elbert and Charlotte (Mavrikis) Wheat and has resided in Dover most of his life. Jim was a carpenter and painter and was most recently employed by UNH. He was an avid fisherman.

Members of his family include a daughter, Jessica Wheat; two sisters, Deborah Sousane and Mary Michelle Kay, both of Dover; three brothers, Elbert Wheat, III of Dover, Michael Wheat of Berwick, Maine, and Mark Wheat of Dover; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased his parents, Elbert and Charlotte Wheat, and by his brother, George Wheat.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. with a service at 6 p.m. in the hall of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 93 Locust St., Dover. Refreshments will be served following the service.
