KITTERY POINT, Maine - James L."Brother Jim" Martin, 74 of Brave Boat Harbor Road died on December 5, 2012 at Durgin Pines.

A true native Jim was born and raised in York, he was a son of George and Marjorie (Randlett) Martin. He attended local schools graduating from York High School with the class of 1958.

Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for many years serving aboard the USS Boston. He worked at Bens Autobody in Portsmouth for a number of years and retired in 1992 from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard after working as a ship fitter and rigger. Jim enjoyed membership in the American Legion.

He enjoyed over forty seveny years with his loving partner Shirley Clough and together they made a home in Kittery Point. They enjoyed travel to many parts of the world including the Caribbean, Mexico, Spain and several trips to Nova Scotia. They enjoyed many years at camp on Little Ossippee Lake in Waterboro never shying away from a trip on his signature golf cart.

He is survived by his loving family Shirley Clough of Kittery Point, Sister, Kathleen Marrone of Wells, Maine, sister, Elaine Curry and her partner Richard of York, Maine and sister Georgia Mae Arn and her husband Richard of Cape Neddick, step children; Stephen Clough and his wife Dale of Eliot, Maine, Deborah Chicoine and her husband Michael a Naples, Terrie Duncan and her partner Ron of Kittery, Maine and Wendy Clough of Kittery, Maine, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may visit with Jim's family on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine 03903 where a funeral will be held at noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Care for Jims family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
